A/C REPAIR
When it comes to A/C repair, how do you choose a company when there are so many to choose from? How do you know which ones are just a person with a van, a company that has inadequately trained technicians, or one that provides highly trained experts?
There are several key considerations that will help you pick the right company.
The length of time a company has been serving is a reflection of its customer's trust and satisfaction and speaks to its honesty, integrity, and quality. Chris Graham A/C has been providing the service since 2006.
Many service technicians are certified. However, it is training that makes the difference between an average service technician and a service expert. Chris Graham A/C provides extensive training on a continuous basis so you can be sure you will receive the absolute best advice along with exceptional service.
When your air conditioning system needs service, you want to know that the company you hire can accurately diagnose the problem. Once diagnosed, you want to know they have the training and expertise to repair whatever happens to be causing the problem. Chris Graham A/C certified and trained service experts provide a wide range of services and repairs.
A/C REPLACEMENT
When an air conditioning system breaks, one of the first instincts is to call for a quick repair. Although having the system repaired seems to be the least expensive way to go at the moment, it may not be when you look at it long term.
Making the decision to repair or replace your air conditioning system can be difficult. With 14 years of experience, you can trust a Chris Graham A/C air conditioning expert to provide you with the best options for your specific situation.
There are several things to be considered when making such a decision.
- How old is the system?
- How has the system been performing?
- Cost of operation
- Cost to repair or replace
Melting in the sweltering Texas heat without an air conditioning unit? Let us install a brand-new AC unit today. Have a cranky old AC system? New HVAC systems run more efficiently than older models. That means you’ll save money while getting cooler faster. Call us today to take the bite out of the heat.
A/C MAINTENANCE
Like any type of equipment, air conditioning systems need regular maintenance to operate properly and extend their service life. If an air conditioning system is not properly maintained, it will lose approximately 5% efficiency for each year of operation costing you money.
Regularly scheduled maintenance will keep your air conditioning system running near its original efficiency, saving you money on your monthly electric bill. In many cases, regular maintenance will reduce costly repairs that save money over the life of your system.
Although air conditioning systems are complex, there are a couple of things you can do to help ensure your system runs smoothly. One, buy quality air filters and change them on a monthly basis. Proper airflow is a critical factor in the operation and efficiency of your system. Secondly, trim bushes and remove any other material away from the outside unit(s) of your air conditioner as well as cleaning off any leaves or grass clippings.

AIRFLOW ANALYSIS
If you are considering a new heat pump or air conditioning and heating system, the system should be sized to fit your home. Chris Graham A/C will not size your system solely on the square footage of your house or assume that your existing equipment was sized properly in the first place. Oversized equipment can cause reduced comfort and excessive “air” noise. Oversizing may shorten the life of the equipment by causing it to cycle on and off more frequently than a properly-sized unit. Undersized equipment, with airflow that is too low, can reduce the efficiency of the air distribution and accelerate wear on system components, leading to earlier failure.
Another key to proper airflow is your ductwork. The condition of your air ducts is critical to airflow and should be tested to identify where the air is escaping. In some instances, it may be necessary to replace or add ducts. If there are not enough supply registers or return air grilles in your home, it may be necessary to install additional ducts to accommodate the need for registers or grilles.
For central air conditioners and heaters or heat pumps, there is optimal airflow for comfort and savings. If the airflow is too high, duct leakage increases and the temperature at the register is not sufficient for your overall comfort. If the airflow is too low, efficiency drops and accelerates the wear on system components that may lead to premature failure.
Chris Graham A/C will test the airflow of your heating and cooling system and make adjustments for optimal performance. Call our airflow experts today.
